But they all started out at some point, all had the same attendant insecurities and self-doubt. You are such a terrific writer, I love your blog. Critics are like the guy in a golf cart who sees me jogging by on a hot day and shouts, "Pick up your feet! You're running too slow!" My response: "Get out of your golf cart and run for three miles and then see if you can keep up with me."The Low Three Figureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03521598029511650750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-474272343083175168.post-37041203283572928282010-06-19T11:37:43.437-05:002010-06-19T11:37:43.437-05:00I think writers have to find a balance, especially...I think writers have to find a balance, especially when they're writing fiction. There needs to be honesty in the emotions of our characters and in the details we draw from our experiences, but there also is a time when we need to think about some of the craft aspects as well, things such as hooks and plot twists that make our finished work interesting.Steve Lindahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00125156847881340578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-474272343083175168.post-18098763098672029172010-06-19T11:15:25.777-05:002010-06-19T11:15:25.777-05:00I'd hate to lose the passion for writing.I'd hate to lose the passion for writing.Alex J. If you are a writer, then the emotional honesty and intelligence will come through and that is what will draw an audience to it, rather than fretting about how to serve them. Write what you want to write and then figure out what to do with it once it is complete.

Good luck with your summer programme of writing.

Bests

Marc NashSulci Collectivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03293833259808943096noreply@blogger.com
